Emergency Ministry: Oil leaks on Transneft's pipeline in Omsk Reg

OMSK, Jan 30 (PRIME) – Oil spilt on a Transneft pipeline covering 200 square meters, the regional office of the Emergency Ministry said on Monday.

"An emergency caused by a 60 cubic meter oil spill on an area of 200 square meters has occurred,” a spokesperson for the authority said.

“The emergency happened to the north of the Lugovaya village of the Omsky District of the Omsk Region after loss of pressure on the pipeline on January 27."

The working pit was cleaned, a plug was installed at the leak, the contaminated area was reclaimed, and work is being done to decontaminate the area.
